Descriptive data filters

Deciding what trade to do is based on the data we have on a given option. But in the age of information, it's hard to separate the wheat from the chaff and we often find ourselves unable to make a decision.
Our option scanner was designed to help you arrive at an educated (and customized) decision based on 100s filters (grouped in 6 categories) - with the sole purpose of finding the best trades for you, based on your personal preferences.

Include symbols

When this filter is applied the scan result will include only the companies that were defined in the filter. To add companies press on the filter value (“Any” by default) and enter the stock ticker symbol (not case sensitive) and approve. To add more than one symbol simply press the space bar or “;” or “,” between symbols.
In order to return and include all symbols: remove the filter or delete its content and approve it.
This filter supports copy+paste from excel

Exclude symbols

When this filter is applied, the scan result will exclude the companies that were defined in the filter.

To add companies press on the filter value (“Any” by default) and enter the stock ticker symbol (not case sensitive) and approve. To add more than one symbol simply press the spacebar or “;” or “,” between symbols.
Please notice that when “Any” is applied - the results will include all companies without any exclusion.

Sector

Applying this filter will affect the scan result by displaying only companies that are in the selected sector(s).
“None selected” will display all sectors.

Earning date

The expected date for releasing the company’s quarterly reports. High volatility can be expected on this day.

The filter’s value is the relation between the expected earning date and option expire date: earning date before option expire date, earning date after option expiration date, or any (default).

Dividend Date

The date the company will be traded WITHOUT the right to receive dividends. To receive the dividend, you have to own the stock at the close of the previous trading day. The stock price will be adjusted down to account for the dividend so expect higher put prices and lower call prices.
The filter’s value determines if the option will be eligible to receive a dividend (before expiration date) or not (after options expiration date). Selecting any (default) will show all.

Market Cap

Market capitalization refers to the total dollar market value of a company's outstanding shares. Select one of the predefined values (micro-cap, large, Billion and up, etc.) or use “advanced view” to give a custom company value range. The figures displayed in the results are in Millions of dollars. So when searching in advanced view for companies with a value market of 2B to 20B we will enter "2000" in the right box and "20000" in the left box.

Insiders transaction

The transactions are done by company management and stakeholders. The value is the change in ownership over the last quarter. Either select a predefined value that represents a percentage of turnover or enter a custom range.

Short Ratio

The short-interest ratio is a sentiment indicator that is derived by dividing the number of shares that are shorted by the average daily volume for a stock. Either select a predefined value or enter a custom range.

Stock or ETF or both

Does the option represent a stock or an ETF (exchange-traded fund
